Blue Air launched Bucharest – Cluj Napoca flight

The airline Blue Air, owned by the businessman Nelu Iordache, will launch a new domestic flight from Bucharest to Cluj Napoca, with a frequency of five flights weekly, Mediafax announced. This is the third local flight of the company, after Bucharest – Arad and Suceava – Cluj Napoca, all operated from Monday to Friday. Planes will take off in Bucharest at 22.00 and will land in Cluj Napoca at 23.00, while the return flight at 20.00 in Cluj – Napoca and will arrive at 21.00 in Bucharest.” This frequency of flights is also advantageous to passengers who want to leave from Cluj – Napoca to other destinations operated by Blue Air, from Bucharest. The Blue Air company introduced 20 new flights this summer,” the General Manager of Blue Air, Adrian Ionascu declared in a press release. Since July 15, the company started operating flights from Cluj – Napoca towards three destinations: Venice and Vienna.

On the other hand, the International Airport of Bacau was officially overtaken by Blue Air, after the airline submitted the EUR 20-million pledge stipulated in the concession contract signed with the County Council of Bacau, Adevarul informs. According to the contract, Blue Air was granted the custody of the Airport of Bacau for the forthcoming 35 years and must invest approximately EUR 45 million for the station and track modernization.
