The Sound Choir of the Students’ Culture House in Bucharest, and the conductor and pianist Valentin Radu will perform a show at the “santa Maria di Nazareth” in Venice, a performance of religious Romanian music, on the occasion of one of the most important traditional Venetian cultural and religious events: “Festa del Redentore.” The agenda of the concert performed by Sound, which represents Romania at the Religious Choir Music in Rome and Vatican, includes songs by Filotei Monahul, Anton Pann, Gheorghe Cucu, Gavriil Musicescu, Paul Constantinescu, Nicolae Lungu, Javier Busto, Derek Bardos Gyorgy, Dominique Gessney – Rappo and Giulio Caccini. The Sound Choir was founded in 1994, as a mixed choir of the Students’ Culture House in Bucharest, including students and graduates of various Universities in Bucharest. Last year, Sound won a golden and a silver medal at the fifth edition of the “World Choir Games,” at the “Chamber Choir” and “A Cappella” Folklore sections.
