Alex Piturca signs for FC Brasov

Striker Alex Piturca has signed a one-year contract with FC Brasov, the club’s official website informs, Agerpres informs. Piturca (25), who has previously played for Pandurii Targu Jiu, has signed on Tuesday evening a one-year contract with FC Brasov, having the option to prolong it for another two years.

‘I took Brasov’s offer and I believe it was the right choice. I’ve seen that FC Brasov was one step short of qualifying for the Europa League last season. For me this transfer is a step forward because I understood that Brasov wants to attain results. I don’t want to let down those that believed in me and I want us to have a season as good as possible and to end up on a spot from which to qualify for the Europa League,’ Piturca Jr. stated. The player left Pandurii as a free-of-contract player.

‘I will wait for the team to get back from Switzerland and I’ll start training with the team on Monday. I’ll be physically fit in approximately two weeks,’ Piturca added.

Alexandru Piturca previously played for Steaua, Regensburg, FC Caracal, Universitatea Craiova, TSKA Sofia and Pandurii.
