Storms to follow the heat

Follwing the heat wave last weekend, wind storms and heavy rainfalls followed. It rained for over two hours in Bucharest on Saturday night. In Berceni, a tree was ripped off by the storm and hit a car in a parking place. The fire-fighters’ team worked for over half of an hour in order to remove the tree. Pipes overflowed in several locations, yet, no major issues were caused. For the days to come, meteorologists announced rains especially in eastern regions.

Since yesterday, the temperatures decreased by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius and highs reached 31 – 32 degrees. This change in the weather will be felt most intensely in the northern regions of the country.

In the eastern and mountain regions, light rains will occur during the next few days and temperatures will reach approximately 22 – 24 degrees in the north and centre. 31 – 32 degrees will be reached in Bucharest.
