PDL suggests Education Minister should be dismissed

Democrat-liberal Deputies on the Education Commission yesterday accused Ecaterina Andronescu of postponing the modernization process of education and called on the PM to look into the activity of the Social-Democrat minister. Democrat-Liberal Deputy Catalin Croitoru told a press conference that Andronescu, seven months into her term, has not applied any of the key points in the strategy established in the national education Pact adopted at Cotroceni Palace last year. Croitoru also accused Adronescu of bad management of the scandal surrounding the diplomas released by unauthorized faculties at the ‘Spiru Haret’ University. ‘We believe that Ecaterina Andronescu is the first unqualified substitute that should urgently be laid off from the education system. We call on Premier Emil Boc to order an urgent analysis into the education minister’s activity for the past seven months,’ Democrat-Liberal Deputy Doinita Chircu said.
