Videanu urges less state spending

Cuts in state spending, staff cuts, better control of public money or public pension system reform are the priority measures of the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L) proposed at this week’s debates with the International Monetary Fund, Agerpres quoted Economy Minister Adriean Videanu as saying. Also, Videanu specified that government priorities include the public salary law, education reform, public pension system reform, fiscal accountability law and improved economic performance by state-run companies. On the other hand, the Ministry of the Economy plans to reorganize 14 research institutes and to set up two wider-scale institutions, one for the industry, and the other for the energy sector, added Adriean Videanu, quoted by Agerpres.
