Whitney Houston to release comeback album this fall

Pop diva Whitney Houston will release a new album in September, her first in seven years, Arista Records said on Thursday, announcing the long-awaited comeback for the talented but troubled star, informs Reuters. According to Examiner, a song on the upcoming album called “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” was written for Houston by Diane Warren. It’s a fitting title and song for Houston as she recaptures her moment in the spotlight. Additional collaborators on the album include Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, Stargate and Akon. Going into last weekend, Houston continued celebrating her comeback with yet another VIP listening party in Beverly Hills. “I’m back home,” she said. “I’m back home where I belong.” Since her career kicked off in 1985 with her self-titled debut, Houston has sold more than 170 million records, singles and videos around the world. Houston, 45, is one of music’s most decorated female artists, with more than 400 awards.
