Decision in “Spiru Haret” University – Education Ministry lawsuit expected Friday

Bucharest Court of Appeal (CAB) decides on Friday whether it admits the lawsuit of “Spiru Haret” University and suspends the decision of the Government through which the education institution was eliminated from the list of accredited universities, and is not allowed to organize admission examinations. At the hearing of yesterday of the lawsuit, the attorneys of “Spiru Haret” University told the magistrates that Aurelian Bondrea is the legal representative of the institutions, and that the University Charter of the institution was recognized through the decision of a court.

The counselor from the Ministry of Education and Research, Gabriel Ispas, also declared that many “abnormal” things are happening at “Spiru Haret” University, showing that while the curriculum of the Law Faculties from all the universities from Romania has a duration of four years, “Spiru Haret” University established a duration of three years for the specialization in legal sciences.

Referring to the rights of the students from “Spiru Haret” University who passed the admission examination for the school year 2009-2010, Ispas declared that they may have been deceived by the university.
