The Timis General Department for Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) and the County Police opened an investigation into the case of a three year-old boy who died after several plaster board plates fell onto him in a store while his parents were shopping.

According to early information supplied by the Police, the incident happened Monday afternoon in a Praktiker store in Timisoara.

The child’s parents bought some plaster cardboard plates which they loaded into a pushcart. At some point, the pushcart containing the plaster cardboard capsized and the plates fell onto the boy, who died Monday night into Tuesday morning following the impact.
