Tourism minister Elena Udrea confirmed yesterday the candidacy of President Traian Basescu at the presidential elections due in autumn. Known as a person close to the Head of State, Elena Udrea believes that the scandal stirred around her is actually an attack against Traian Basescu, in the perspective of the presidential elections. Udrea stressed that Traian Basescu will launch out “soon” in the race for a new term of office.
Traian Basescu has not announced officially his candidacy so far.
