44 paintings from Brukenthal museum, exhibited in Paris

Paris will be the host of an exclusive exhibition under the brand Brukenthal, starting on September 11, 2009. The exhibition is announced on the first page of the website of the Jacquemart – Andre Museum in Paris, as reported by ‘Adevarul’ online. The manager of the museum in Sibiu, Sabin Luca, considered that it was the greatest “painting” export ever performed by Romania. The exhibition includes Flemish and Dutch paintings, signed by famous names such as Pieter Bruegel, Hans Memling, Jan van Eyck, Jan Davidsz de Heem, David Teniers or Jacob Jordaens. The visitors may admire the paintings until January 11, 2010 and afterwards they will be carried back to Sibiu.
