Romanian wins prize for best Ph.D. thesis in Netherlands

Raluca Marin-Perianu is this year’s winner of the Christian Hygens Prize, a prize offered each year in The Netherlands for the best scientific Ph.D. thesis. Her Ph.D. thesis, titled ‘Wireless Sensor Networks in Motion,’ represents a significant contribution to the development of IT and telecommunications technology. Dutch Education Minister Ronald Plasterk will award the prize during an official ceremony scheduled on October 7 in Voorburg, Netherlands.
