Romania’s extended lineup for games against France and Austria

Head coach Razvan Lucescu announced on Sunday evening the list of players called in for the games against France (September 5, 10 PM) and Austria (September 9, 8.45 PM), frf.ro informs. The two games count for the World Cup 2010 preliminaries.


Danut Coman (FC Brasov), Costel Pantilimon (FC Timisoara) and Ciprian Tatarusanu (FC Steaua Bucharest) – goalkeepers; Cristian Sapunaru (FC Porto), Vasile Maftei (CS Unirea Urziceni), Mirel Radoi (Al-Hilal), Dorin Goian (US Palermo), Cristian Chivu (FC Internazionale Milan), Marius Constantin (FC Rapid Bucharest), Razvan Rat (FC Shakhtar Donetsk) and Mihai Nesu (FC Utrecht) – fullbacks


Bogdan Mara (CFR 1907 Cluj), Mihai Roman (FC Brasov), Iulian Apostol (CS Unirea Urziceni), Paul Codrea (AC Siena), Tiberiu Ghioane (FC Dinamo Kiev), Costin Lazar (FC Rapid Bucharest), Maximilian Nicu (Hertha BSC) and Romeo Surdu (FC Steaua Bucharest) – midfielders; Ciprian Marica (VfB Stuttgart), Adrian Mutu (AC Fiorentina), Ionut Mazilu (Arsenal Kiev) and Adrian Cristea (FC Dinamo Bucharest) – strikers. Cristea replaced Ionel Danciulescu, who has suffered a contusion on Monday during training.
