Teodosie filed complaint against legal pursuit

The Archbishop of Tomis, Teodosie, filed complaint at the General Prosecutors’ Office against the ordinance initiating legal pursuit against him, mentioning that the prosecutors omitted to request the approval of the Romanian Patriarchy, legal sources declared, as quoted by Realitatea TV.

The complaint was filed regarding the charges of instigation to intellectual forgery and bribe brought against the Archbishop, who allegedly demanded money and gifts in order to support an undercover reporter’s admission to the Theology University. Teodosie did not appear on August 28 at the General Prosecutors’ Office; he filed a request of postponement as he hired a new attorney who must study the case, according to legal sources.

The General Prosecutors’ Office started the investigation against Teodosie and two more priests, based on charges of bribe and instigation to intellectual forgery. Priest Bogdan Chiriluta is investigated by the Supreme Court prosecutors for bribe and priest Emil Braescu for intellectual forgery.
