One of the Bucharest underworld leaders, Stefan Dinu alias Fane Capatana, was arrested at his address in the Pantelimon Commune (Ilfov County) yesterday morning. The law-enforcers say they have many charges against the suspect, including fraud and money forgery. An alleged accomplice, Ion Gheorghe alias Ramiro, was also arrested in Bucharest. The Romanian Police Press Office reports the two suspects were arrested within an operation called ‘Logan’, where two individuals are under investigation for forging and placing money, deceit, assuming of official identities and aggravated theft.
Investigations into the case began over four months ago, being conducted by the Organised Crime Brigade (BCCO) Bucharest and by BCCO Ilfov.
