‘So far, we have spent about one third of our total budget of EUR 35 M allocated for renovations, meaning between 9 and 10 M euros. The sum also paid for the upgrading of the lifts and for redoing some rooms on the 20th floor, where we intend to merge some of the existing 26 guestrooms and turn them into apartments,’ company Managing Director Marten Schoenrock told a press conference. The 21st floor now includes a conference hall – Fortuna, the former Balada Hall measuring 282 sq m and sitting 200 people, the Hora Hall sitting 40 people and a lounge club for business meetings. Schoenrock also stated renovations will continue into 2010, at the 3rd floor kitchen and at the hotel’s bars and restaurants.
