The first autumn session of Casa Goldart, which takes place on Sunday, presents to the art lovers the painting “Flora” by Rene Portocarrero, a painter with an impressive international rating. The work made in China ink and tempera on paper is estimated at RON 30,000. It is dated from 1978 and comes from Manea Manescu collection. In the auction catalogue there are also other valuable works among which a “Balcic” by Jean Cheller, estimated at RON 15,000, or “Pe cheiul Senei” by Francois Gall, at RON 16,000.
Other works to be submitted to the attention of the art lovers at the auction are signed by Ipolit Strambu, Marius Bunescu, Aurel Baesu, Rudolf Schweitzer Cumpana, Constantin Artachino, Kimon Loghi, Paul Verona, Arthur Verona, Aurel Cojan, as well as several works by Ion Alin Gheorghiu which come from the house of the writer Petre Stoica.
The auction includes also very young contemporary art, with new forms of expression, such as the work “Adoratia” by Felix Aftene, estimated at RON 7,000. The works to be auctioned will be exhibited on Friday and Saturday at the Central University Library.
