Musical performances, shows – at the anniversary of Bucharest

The over 20,000 participants in the official opening of Bucharest Days, on Saturday evening, in Piata Constitutiei, listened to musical performances from the Bucharest of the two World Wars and they stayed in line, like in old times, to enjoy themselves with small sausages and beer, up until midnight, Mediafax informs.

The participants in the opening evening of Bucharest Days started in a row from Piata Unirii, on Saturday, after 19.30, following the orchestra and the coaches, which led them across Unirii Avenue up to Piata Constitutiei. Women dressed in gypsies were offering flowers to the ladies from the parade stretching all over the avenue. In Piata Constitutiei, the people watched archive images from Bucharest of the two World Wars on the two displays placed on each side of the stage. The performance started after 20.30, when lights were lit on the stage, and also among spectators, and the dancers from XtReme made their entry. Flanked by huge dolls, they presented “Bucharest Genesis” – a choreographic and acrobatic performance, with pyrotechnic effects, where they featured an allegory on how Bucur stronghold emerged, whereas, a voice in the background was presenting what was happening on the stage. A thousand gendarmes secured order for the cultural and artistic events organized in the Capital to celebrate 550 years of Bucharest attestation, as the Capital Gendarmerie informed this Saturday.

The Festival Bucharest Days opened with coaches which were taking on a stroll those wishing to do this along Unirii Avenue and with characters dressed in historic costumes walking among foot passengers.
