South–Korean cars prices lower by nearly EUR 2,000

The South Korean cars will soon be cheaper by nearly EUR 2,000, according to Realitatea.net. The European Union and South Korea will sign, until the end of the year, an agreement which, according to experts, will result in a drop of customs duties to their minimum. Thus, the prices of the products imported from this country shall be reduced, cars inclusively.

The signing of the agreement will reduce nearly EUR 2,000 of the price and will put competition in difficulty. All the car producers from the European Union are very critical against Brussels in relation to the decision to sign a free trade agreement with the South Korean leaders.

In Romania, the sales of South Korean cars are having a good evolution. 13,000 cars produced in this country sold in the first seven months of the year, which means that one of seven cars that sold in our country was made in South Korea.

“This will have effects on the keeping of jobs for which government made efforts. It is obviously that Romania will be affected because generally the vehicles produced in Romania belong to the same class of those brought from South Korea,” said Constantin Stroe, Vice CEO of Automobile Dacia.
