IMF Board to consider first evaluation report

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board will consider and vote on the first evaluation report on the stand-by agreement with Romania on September 21, Mediafax informs. The requested changes of specific performance criteria fall under the same category, according to data released by the financial institution. An IMF mission headed by Jeffrey Franks was in Bucharest in early August for the first assessment of the stand-by agreement with Romania. ‘After the Board has made the final decision on this evaluation, the funds will be immediately released’, Franks said in August.
