Actor Nicu Constantin passed away yesterday, at the age of 70, from a cardiac arrest. During the last four months, he was under treatment for a severe lung disease at the Emergency Military Clinic Hospital of Bucharest.
The Commander of the Military Hospital, General Ioan Sarbu told Mediafax that actor Nicu Constantin died at 4:45 PM, after he had a first cardio-pulmonary arrest at 2:00 PM, when doctors were able to resuscitate him. Two hours later, however, the popular actor passed away from a second stroke. The actor’s wife stayed with him all through his suffering in hospital.
