Publicist Marius Grozea passed away

Radio Romania regretfully announces the death of publicist Marius Grozea, one of the journalists that launched Channel III, later dubbed Radio Romania Youth, and transformed it into a reference point for radio journalism. Marius Grozea started his radio career within the Youth and Children’s Editorial Office in 1968 immediately after graduating the Faculty of Philology from within the Bucharest University. He made shows such as ‘Clubul Invitatilor,’ ‘Studioul T,’ ‘Aventura cunoasterii’ and ‘Maraton Blue Jeans,’ shows that brought him the listeners’ gratitude. From 1990 to 1991 he was the editor-in-chief of Radio Romania Youth. In 2004 he won the Romanian Press Club’s award in the Talk-Show Radio category for his ‘Maraton Blue Jeans’ show.

The funeral is scheduled on Tuesday, September 29 at 1 PM within Bucharest’s Ghencea Cemetery.
