According to the data published on Wednesday by the National Statistics Institute (INS), over 33,000 construction permits for residential buildings have been issued in the first eight months of this year, 20 per cent less than the number of permits issued during the same period last year, HotNews informs. The number of permits issued in August for the construction of houses has grown by 3 per cent compared to July, but has dropped by 23.2 per cent compared to the same month last year. 33,034 construction permits for residential buildings have been issued in the first eight months of this year, 20 per cent less than the number of permits issued in the same period last year. The most significant drops were registered in the following regions: Bucharest-Ilfov (-2,376 permits), South-Walachia (-1,281 permits), Center (-1,043 permits) and North-East (-1,039 permits).
