International Children’s Theater Festival

The International Children’s Theater Festival “100, 1.000, 1.000.000 stories” will open Saturday at the Ion Creanga Theater of Bucharest, with a parade of story heroes, and huge puppets, fairies, beasts and dragons who will invade nearby streets, to the delight of the small guests.

Also on Saturday and Sunday, the visitors of the Baneasa Shopping City are invited, starting 06.00 PM, at shows with “The surprise hat” and “The storyteller,” both of them staged by the Ion Creanga Theater.

This year’s edition of the festival will delight both children and adults with shows performed by theater companies from Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Canada and Sweden.

The winning play will be announced Saturday, October 10, in the awarding ceremony that will also mark the conclusion of the event.

The Ion Creanga Theater thus prepares, next week, for children and parents alike, many surprises ranging from spectacular characters and unique staging, to interactive shows and exhibitions of theatrical photos.
