PM Boc: On December 1, Passage Baneasa and 42 km of Transylvania Motorway, inaugurated

PM Emil Boc said, on Friday, during a site visit related to Transylvania Motorway in Cluj County that two investment objectives are to be inaugurated on December 1: Passage Baneasa and a 42 – km segment from Transylvania Motorway, Mediafax reported.

PM Emil Boc visited on Friday, together with Transport Minister, Radu Berceanu, the site of Transylvania Motorway located in Cluj County. “On December 1, after having celebrating the National Day, we shall open traffic also through Baneasa Passage,” Boc said.

He continued saying that the would then fly by helicopter to get to Cluj, where the first 42 km of Transylvania Motorway, along Gilau – Campia Turzii, will be inaugurated. The PM informed that he would propose local authorities to organize a symbolic marathon along the 42 km to be inaugurated, an occasion during which he would also run a few km. In his turn, Radu Berceanu said that when authorities and constructors deal with settling “the numerous issues occurring in case of a work,” then results are visible. Berceanu said that the disbursements to the constructor of Transylvania Motorway “are in keeping with the schedule.”

Boc and Berceanu flew by helicopter along the route of Transylvania Motorway in Cluj County, the PM saying that the stage of works was satisfactory.

They were accompanied by Cluj Napoca Mayor, Sorin Apostu, Chair of Cluj County Council, Alin Tise, PDL MPs and Bechtel manager Michael Mix.
