Robbery at Iasi pawnshop

A man robbed a pawnshop in Iasi of several pieces of jewellery displayed in its window Thursday morning, Mediafax reports. The pawnbroker told the authorities that, at some point, a man broke the shop window with his fist, grabbed several gold chains and then ran away through a gangway nearby. The pawnshop worker did press the panic button.

‘The still unidentified person walked into the pawnshop and, seeing hat the shop assistant was in an adjacent room, broke a window and took several pieces of jewellery. He did not threaten anyone and was not violent,’ Iasi Police Spokesperson Virginia Pralea said.

The Police are now looking for the suspect and will determine the value of the damage.
