Gigi Becali stated yesterday when coming out of the General Prosecutor’s Office that if he is sued in the dossier in which he is charged with sequestering people he will notify the MEPs and could ask for foreign investigators. According to Mediafax, Becali spent two hours and a half within the High Court’s Prosecutor’s Office where he was subpoenaed in order to study the criminal prosecution material. However the MEP replied that he won’t read the dossier because he knows better what he did and he is not guilty considering that he treated well the persons that stole his car. Likewise, Becali stated that it does not seem normal for him to be shown the criminal prosecution material before his complaint against the prosecutors is finalized within the Bucharest Tribunal and before he receives an answer regarding the face-to-face meeting he asked to have with the car thieves. At the same time Gigi Becali expressed his displeasure with the fact that the persons that stole his car and whom he sequestered were not heard by the prosecutor, claiming that he will write these observations to the prosecutor that handles his case. The District 1 Court postponed yesterday the debates on the dossier in which the persons that stole Gigi Becali’s car were sued, after one of the defendant’s lawyers filed a request to connect the case with another one involving the same persons.
