Metropolis Theater to have a walk of fame

Metropolis Theater will have a walk of fame in which actors like Olga Tudorache and Radu Beligan will embed their steps, and which will be inaugurated most probably in November, when the institution will have two years of activity, declared George Ivascu, director of the theater, quoted by Mediafax. According to Ivascu, each of the major collaborators of Metropolis Theater will also have a star embedded in the alley. The anniversary month of Metropolis Theater, whose honorary director is Radu Beligan, is dedicated to first nights. Thus, some of the premieres of the year end, at Metropolis, are “Moartea lui Tarelkin” (a comedy in two parts with insertions from Kafka’s “The Trial”) by Gelu Coceag, with Doru Ana, George Ivascu and Dan Astilean in the cast, “Fantoma, dragostea mea!” after Noel Coward, directed by Serban Puiu, and “Sfarsit de partida” by Alexandru Tocilescu. Initiated at the end of 2006, Metropolis Theater replaced Theatrum Mundi, being conceived as a theater where the young creators will chiefly work. It was officially opened on November 1, 2007. Actress Olga Tudorache celebrated, on Sunday, at Metropolis Theater, her 80th anniversary, playing in the show “Peste cu mazare” (Fish and beans) for friends, colleagues, family and admirers.
