400 short reel films to be seen at Kinofest

The third edition of Kinofest, the only international digital film festival from Romania, takes place in Bucharest between October 22-24. 400 short reel films from 200 countries have been registered with the festival which takes place at The Light Cinema, the first entirely digital cinema in Europe, according to the organizers, a press release informs.


The finalist films, which will run in the festival, will be announced today or tomorrow, concurrently with the programme of the festival, on Kinofest.com. The most awarded digital short films will be brought to the festival, with the declared aim to promote and popularize the digital film and the new visions in the media, technology and visual arts. Every day of the festival will host a competition of short reel films from the following genres: animation, fiction and micromovie.


Besides the competition, the programme will include also special projections of leading international films, many being presented as a first in Romania, and also concerts, which include new combinations of live performances, digital musical instruments and visuals synchronized with the music.


The persons who want to participate to Kinofest can acquire the tickets or subscriptions on TicketPoint.ro, from selected Diverta shops, or from the booking offices of The Light Cinema.
