Director Dinu Cernescu launched his memoirs

Stage director Dinu Cernescu has recently published a book of memoirs called ‘Director’, an opportunity to recount the meetings that marked his career, especially that with his all-time favorite actor, Stefan Iordache, whom he directed as Hamlet in Shakespeare’s eponymous play. The stage director summed-up in a mere 175 pages 74 years of his life so far, of which 52 dedicated to the stage. The director also writes about his friendship with Jerzy Grotowski and Miklos Jancso, about the most important plays he directed, his favorite students and his work at the Romanian state television.
