Work at the passageway, more intense than in Parliament

Interim Premier Emil Boc yesterday inspected the construction site of the Baneasa underground passageway, to check if works go as planned. He assured that the road tunnel will be completed by December 1, adding that the constructors actually work, “unlike the Parliament.”

“I am glad that you are working, unlike the Parliament. From a financial point of view, no matter what happens in Parliament, it is important that infrastructure projects do continue,” Boc said, quoted by Mediafax. According to the prime minister, low temperatures are the only factor that might hamper works, in the asphalt laying stage, but this won’t push back the project completion date. Boc announced several times, during these last months that the Baneasa Passageway will be open to traffic by December 1. Works to the objective began in 2007. The project is worth approximately EUR 15 M and, a month ago, it was 75 pc completed.
