E.On Gaz lays off 247 employees nationwide

The company notified Mures County Employment Agency (AJOFM) that it will lay off starting in December 247 employees at national level, 29 of them in Mures county, Mediafax correspondent reports. AJOFM coordinating director, Reghina Farcas, said yesterday that the collective lay off in November and December of 270 persons who work in the county has already been announced. These persons work in the domains of methane gas, wood processing, constructions and metallurgy.

“For the months of November and December we have announced collective lay offs for 270 persons, 84 of them in November. They come from domains such as methane gas extraction, wood processing, constructions, metallurgy. In the methane gas sector E.On Gaz has announced the lay off at country level of 247 persons, 29 of them in Targu Mures, starting in December,” Farcas said.

625 million cu m of gas stored

E.On Gaz Romania has finalized the storage of the natural gas required for the cold season. Thus its volume this year is around 625 cu m, stresses a press release of the company. According to E.On Gaz Romania, the value of the investment for the storage of the volume of gas rises to around RON 460 M, which represents “a huge investment of our company in order to meet the needs and expectations of its clients assuring the necessary quantities of natural gas for the heating of the dwellings in the cold season.”
