Sorin Cartu resigned from Pandurii

Starting on Wednesday, Sorin Cartu ceased to be the coach of Pandurii Targu-Jiu team, further to this resignation. In his place, the training of the team will be assumed by Liviu Ciubotariu (interim coach), presently at CS Otopeni, Prosport informs. Cartu chose to leave the team after 0-0 with Unirea Urziceni, the game at whose end he amazed the whole people after he made a “handcuffing” gesture addressed to the central referee Augustus Constantin (hinting to the fact that Gheorghe Constantin, the referee’s father, is in custody for bribe taking in the case of the corrupt referees from League 1).

Further to this incident, Cartu was suspended six legs by LPF Discipline Commission and fined RON 6,800.
