TIB’s 35th edition opens gates – more information, technology and innovation

The Bucharest International Technology Fair (TIB) officially started yesterday and will run until Saturday, October 31. All those interested are expected at Romexpo where they can inform themselves on issues concerning technology, innovation and industry.

Compared to the 2008 edition back when over 950 companies participated, this year’s edition will consist of approximately 610 companies from 28 countries, with the total surface allocated for the event standing at 18,000 square meters. On the other hand, while last year 45 per cent of the participants were foreign, this year that share will climb to 52 per cent. In order to facilitate the identification of the domains of interest, TIB 2009 will be structured as follows: the TOOLTECH section (machine tools, tools and accessories), the ELECTROTECH section (electrics, electronics, automated systems), the FLUIDTECH section (pumps, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics), the METALTECH section (metallurgy, welding), energy, auto engineering, transport and storing, chemistry and petrochemical works, collective participations. Adding to TIB’s pragmatic character, the following events will take place during the same period: Inventika, the Romanian Research Salon and the 8th edition of the Expo Petro Gas, an international exhibition consisting of tools, equipments and technologies for the extraction and processing of oil and natural gas. 64 companies from four countries (Austria, Germany, Romania and Hungary) will take part in the Expo Petri Gas exhibition that will use a total surface of 2,000 square meters. ROMEXPO and Romania’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry plan to offer important price cuts for the companies that take part in this type of fairs and exhibitions. The organizers claim that that is the most efficient way to promote them especially at this time of economic crisis. The visitor’s access is opened from October 28 to 30 from 10 AM to 6 PM and on October 31 from 10 AM to 4 PM. A ticket costs RON 5 and gives its buyer access to TIB, Expo Petro Gas, the Research Salon and Inventika but also to any of the events organized as part of those fairs and exhibitions.
