Prophet Mohammad film in the make


An epic film about Islam’s Prophet Mohammad backed by the producer of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix” is being planned with the aim of “bridging cultures”. The film – in which the Prophet would not be depicted, in accordance with Islamic rules – is in development and talks are being held with studios, talent agencies and distributors.


Mel Gibson’s girlfriend delivers baby girl


Mel Gibson has become a father for the eighth time after his Russian girlfriend gave birth to a daughter. Gibson, 53, has seven children with his first wife Robyn, who filed for divorce in April after 28 years of marriage. Grigorieva, 39, a pianist and songwriter, has a teenage son with former James Bond actor Timothy Dalton. Gibson has said he and his wife split up three years ago and he met Grigorieva in 2008.


Mad Max franchise revived


When everyone else thought there was no revival for the Mad Max franchise, after ten years of delays for the forth movie in the series, it looks like Hollywood studios have finally okayed the project. On board are Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron and rising star Tom Hardy, who will star in writer-director George Miller’s fourth installment titled “Fury Road.” Mel Gibson, who originated the iconic will not return for the fourth film. British actor Tom Hardy, of “Rock’n Rolla” who will next be seen in Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending thriller “Inception,” will take on the role of a younger Max.
