More discipline at the national team

Razvan Lucescu, the head coach of the national football team, has stated in a TV show that the Romanian international players that will not respect the rule imposed within the national team’s training stages will be excluded from the team. According to that rule, no player should be seen downtown after 1 AM. ‘I have drawn a set of rules, I don’t want to call them internal regulations, but one of the rules says that the players should not stay up later than midnight while being convened for the national team, with the fine standing at EUR 5,000 if they fail to do so. The players spotted downtown after 1 AM will be expelled from the team,’ Lucescu stated for Sport.ro.

Rednic fails in Russia

Mircea Rednic, the head coach of North Ossetia’s second tier team Alania Vladikavkaz, has failed to take his team into Russia’s League I. The North Ossetian team badly needed a victory in its last leg game but lost, score 1-5. Rednic left the Russian team and is expected back in Romania where several League I teams have their sights on him, including his former teams Dinamo and Rapid, teams that currently have interim head coaches (Talnar and Manea respectively).
