Intesa Sanpaolo Bank launches product and service suite for Unimpresa members

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank yesterday released a suite of goods and services addressed to the members and associates of the Employer’s Association of Italian Investors in Romania Unimpresa, who will benefit from up to 50 per cent discounts and a variety of free services, a press release informs. ‘The bank will provide special services to the Unimpresa members, the suite being dedicated primarily to SMEs which find it difficult to take out regular bank loans’, Italian Ambassador to Bucharest Mario Cospito stated at a press conference held on the occasion of the signing of a co-operation protocol between Intesa Sanpaolo Bank and Unimpresa, on Tuesday. Unimpresa President Stefano Albarosa in turn stated the members of the association would benefit from bulk negotiated package of conditions which represented an advantage to small companies which would now be able to buy banking products at better costs.

On the other hand, as a result of the financial crisis, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank has had to restructure 20 per cent of the total credit portfolio to Italian companies in Romania, bank President Nicola Calabro stated yesterday. He noted that debt payment terms had had to be extended considering the financial difficulties companies were facing. Unimpresa President Stefano Albarosa said Romania needed more political stability, governments that should last for a minimum of three years, a predictable market and a steady legislation.
