FC Dinamo to be fined for its fans’ racist banners
FC Dinamo will be fined because its fans displayed banners that contained racist messages during the team’s derby against Rapid, Marius Militaru spokesperson of the Bucharest Gendarmerie, stated on Monday for Mediafax. ‘Before each game the security company along with the game’s observer and the host club’s representatives should read all the messages written on the banners brought to the stadium. In this case the banners were not checked and a reason hasn’t been offered for that. The club will be fined because banners containing racist messages were displayed,’ Militaru stated for Mediafax. The Gendarmery’s official stated that the fine will be played by the security company hired by the club. Dinamo and Rapid finished their leg 13 game on Sunday with a draw, score 1-1.
