Romanian-French architectural restoration workshop exhibit

The exhibition ‘Dual perspective on Romanian heritage’ opened Friday at the Romanian Folk Costume Museum, a Parliament Palace section of the ‘Dimitrie Gusti’ National Village Museum. ‘The idea behind this display is to offer a dual perspective on heritage, a view which came into being as a result of the team work by the Romanian and French schools of architecture,’ Conf. Dr. Paula Popoiu, general director at the ‘Dimitrie Gusti’ National Village Museum, said. In his turn, Sergiu Nistor praised the exhibit and thanked to everybody who participated in the event. He also said the Romanian school of architecture has grown mature enough to deal with professionals on equal footing. Denis Soriot, cultural counselor at France’s Embassy in Bucharest, showed himself delighted at the exhibit and the ‘new youth of this exhibit hosted by a space that is absolutely magnificent.’ He also referred to the ‘exemplary partnership’ between Romania and France and the special care given to the conservation of the national heritage.
