Razvan Florea sets national record in 100-m backstroke

Romanian swimmer Razvan Florea, registered within the Farul Constanta Sports Club, has set a new national record in the 100-meter backstroke event at the National Swimming Championships in Hunedoara, with a time of 52 seconds and 18 hundreds of a second, Agerpres informs. Florea broke his own record of 52 seconds and 95 hundreds of a second, a record he had set in 2008 also in Hunedoara. Felix Maestru (CSA Steaua) finished second with a time of 54 seconds and 58 hundreds of a second. Constantin Tudose (CSS Ploiesti – CS Petrolul) finished third with a time of 56 seconds and 15 hundreds of a second.

According to the scoreboard, the best results at the National Championships were the following: Catalin Cosma (CSM Brasov) in the 200-meter freestyle (1 minute, 45 seconds, 27 hundreds) – 939 points; Vlad Caciuc (CSM Brasov) in the 50-meter freestyle (21 seconds, 75 hundreds) – 931 points; Dragos Agache (CS Farul) – in the 50-meter breaststroke (27 seconds, 39 hundreds). In the women’s events the best results were registered by: Ionela Cozma (CS Dinamo) in the 100-meter freestyle (54 seconds, 74 hundreds) – 903 points; Emma Malcomete (CS Farul) in the 100-meter individual medley (1 minute, 02 seconds, 96 hundreds) – 883 points; Elena Samoila (CSM Brasov) in the 200-meter individual medley (2 minutes, 18 seconds, 33 hundreds) – 833 points.
