Grave of former Roma king violated

The grave of the former international king of the Roma, Ilie Badea Stanescu, which is in a cemetery from Costesti, Arges county, was violated on Tuesday for the second time in less than one month, the officers establishing further to verifications that nothing was missing from the grave.


According to the representatives of Arges Police County Inspectorate, the men of the law were notified by the priest from Zorile bishopric, where the cemetery is located, who noticed the cover of the crypt pushed aside. The investigators established on the scene that the marble plate which covers the crypt was moved and a board of the coffin was pulled out, but nothing had been stolen from the grave. On October 20, the grave of the former international king of the Roma, Ilie Badea Stanescu was violated; the officers from Costesti, Arges County, established that nothing had been stolen from it.
