Great musicians in Radio Hall concert

Cellist Razvan Suma, violinist Alexandru Tomescu and pianist Horia Mihail will concert on Wednesday evening at the Radio Hall, alongside the Radio Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Cristian Brancusi. The artists will play Concerto no. 1 in C major for cello and orchestra by Haydn and Concerto in D minor for violin, piano and orchestra by Mendelssohn. The second part of the concert will include Missa in C major, op. 86 by Beethoven. Soloists: Elena Stancu – soprano, Antonela Barna – alto, Razvan Tuculescu – tenor and Claudiu Sola – bas. The Radio Academic Choir, conducted by Dan Mihai Goia, will also participate. A great musical talent, an artistic certainty of the moment, the cellist Razvan Suma “has fascinated through his talent, sensitivity and intelligence,” according to the German publication “Das Orchester.” Everywhere, the public and the media appreciate to the highest degree the charismatic personality of the artist, the profoundness and the beauty of his interpretation. Through his impressive repertoire presented in the over one hundred recitals and concerts given in his tours through Europe, America and Asia, Razvan Suma proved a great sensitivity and musical intuition, a highly performing technique, reflecting perfectly – through the diverse sonorities – the specific style of each piece.


Aged 30, Alexandru Tomescu is acknowledged as one of the outstanding exponents of the Romanian violin school, his passionate interpretations, doubled by a perfect technique, and sensitivity, impressing the public from Europe, America and Asia.
