Car crash kills one, injures six in Bucharest

Bucharest Police opened a criminal probe into an accident that occurred Monday on the Petricani Road, in the Capital City, which killed one and injured six people.

According to Police sources, the man who died was aged 28 and lived in Bucharest. On Monday, around 2.50 PM, he was driving a Mercedes Benz automobile on Petricani Road, from Lacul Tei Boulevard toward the Fabrica de Glucoza Road. After he crossed the Petricani Bridge at high speed, he lost control over the vehicle and frontally collided with a Honda car, driven by Virgil V., aged 45, also from Bucharest, coming on the opposite lane. Six more people were severely injured in the crash.

Two dead, three injured downtown Constanta

Two young people died and another three people were injured in a road accident on Monday night, in the Dacia central area of Constanta city, when a taxi driver did not give the right of way to another car. According to Police sources, on Monday night, around 2.20 AM, four youth left a night club and took a taxi.

At a crossroads, the cabbie did not give way to another vehicle and was rammed by the latter. The crash killed the taxi driver and the person besides him (aged 24, from Bucharest).

The three passengers on the rear seat of the taxi were rushed to hospital, with severe trauma at head and chest.

One person dies in Brasov

According to the Infotrafic Center of Romanian Police, road traffic on DN13 Brasov was blocked on both lanes yesterday, around 4.00 PM, in the Bunesti village between Rupea and Sighisoara, following a crash between two cars, which killed one and seriously injured another person. In total, on Monday, Police registered 30 serious road accidents, resulting in 11 dead and 25 severely injured.
