Poland: Labour ministry sees registered jobless rate up to 11.4 percent in November

The registered unemployment rate rose to 11.4 percent at the end of November, 2009, from 11.1 percent a month earlier, and vs. 9.1 percent a year before, the TV station TVN CNBC Biznes has reported.

At the end of October, the number of registered unemployed was 1744.3 thousand and was higher by 28.5 thousand, i.e. by 1.7 per cent vs. the last month, and by 29.0 percent in annual terms.

Deputy labour minister Czeslawa Ostrowska earlier said that the unemployment rate at the end of the year would amount below 12.0 percent, i.e. lower than the state budget-forecasted 12.5 percent.
