Professor Pellet decorated for support offered in lawsuit from The Hague

Professor Alain Pellet, member of the Romanian team in the case of the Maritime Delimitation in the Black Sea from the International Court of Justice, received on Tuesday the National Order of Romania “Loyal Service” in the rank of Cavalier, the Foreign Affairs Ministry informs. The National Order “Loyal Service” in the rank of Cavalier was granted to Professor Alain Pellet through decree of President Traian Basescu “as a sign of high appreciation of the special contribution to the success obtained by our country in the lawsuit from The Hague for the delimitation of the maritime space with Ukraine.”

Alain Pellet is one of the most active practitioners in the domain of international law, being involved, as arbiter, adviser and lawyer, in several arbitrations, and also adviser in most of the disputes submitted in the past few years to the International Court of Justice (37 cases). He also offers consultancy to several international organizations in the domain of international law.
