The foreign companies from the financial services sector invested most of the money in Romania in the first ten months, participating in the capital of their subsidiaries with over EUR 470 M, followed by banks, with investments of EUR 286 M, and mechanical engineering with EUR 265 M, Mediafax informs. The three domains attracted around 40 per cent of the total share capital subscribed by the parent companies in their subsidiaries from Romania in the first ten months of the year, which reached EUR 2.6 bln, according to the data of the Trade Registry Office. Important subscriptions were made also by the real estate investment and development companies, their contribution reaching EUR 185 M, but also the retail networks, which brought for their expansion in Romania EUR 162.3 M in January-October 2009. The sector of components for cars benefited from a contribution of EUR 165 M, while that of energy from EUR 100 M. The biggest contribution was made by Ford car maker, which subscribed over EUR 200 M in the car plant from Craiova. Second is Groupama Asigurari, with EUR 175.4 M, followed by Bancpost with EUR 107.3 M.Other important injections of capital were made this year by CEZ Distributie – EUR 77.3 M, Renault Technologie Roumanie – EUR 60.95 M, and TMK-Artrom Slatina – EUR 57.4 M.
