Thirteen persons injured in car crash in Bihor

Thirteen persons have been injured yesterday morning in a car crash that took place on National Road 76 just outside Draganesti. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, with the injured persons being taken to two hospitals in the County, Mediafax informs. ‘Five victims have been taken to the hospital in Beius, while the other eight have been taken to Oradea,’ Cristian Herte, the spokesperson of ISU Bihor, stated, adding that the persons taken to Beius are out of danger and were not hospitalized. ‘Of the eight persons hospitalized in Oradea six have lighter traumas, while two are a bit more seriously injured and have to be operated. According to the doctors one person has a broken femur while the other has abdominal hemorrhage,’ Herte stated. Inspector Alina Dinu, the spokesperson of the Bihor Police, stated that the car crash took place after a vehicle entered the oppose lane and collided with two other cars. ‘After preliminary investigations conducted at the site it was established that a vehicle with Spanish license plates entered the opposite lane while driving on the Beius-Stei lane and collided with two vehicles from Bihor County,’ Dinu stated. She added that people with ages ranging from 16 to 28 were in the three vehicles.
