Wife of Singapore hit-and-run victim demands justice

The wife of the man who died in the Singapore accident allegedly caused by Romania’s charge d’affairs and acting ambassador Silviu Ionescu demands justice in the case, the Temasek Review reports. The woman, Yenny Young, said she has not yet received any offer for assistance from the Romanian embassy in Singapore. In a December 15 accident, a car belonging to the Romanian embassy hit three pedestrians, killing one and injuring the other two. Ionescu, who is the main suspect in the case, had reported the car stolen. He is currently in Romania, which does not have any extradition treaty with Singapore, the publication writes. Yenny Young, who had been married to the victim, Tong Kok Wai, for only a month, said her life was ruined by the accident and that all she wants is the person who killed her husband face justice.
