The investigation into the failed plane bombing in Detroit on Christmas Day led to an Israeli security company that operates in Romania too, Realitatea.net reports. The Netherlands-based company ICTS is under contract with several international airports. According to the Israeli press, experts must find the security lapses that allowed the boarding of an US plane by a Nigerian hiding explosives in his underwear. At the focus of the investigation are Israel’s ICTS Company and two of its branches. They are under contract with the Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, where the Nigerian national boarded the plane, but also with airports in France, the UK, Spain, Hungary, Romania and Russia. The company, set up by former members of the Israeli internal security service and former staff in charge of security at Israeli air company El-Al, uses a computer-based system for tracking down suspects. The program allows establishing at-risk passengers, on the basis of their country of origin, nationality, past and their behavior.
