The reference rate announced by BNR for Monday is RON 4.1383/EUR and RON 2.8489/USD. The RON gained three bani (0.71 per cent) against the unique European currency and six bani vs. the USD. The reference rate posted yesterday by BNR declined to the minimum of the last eight months, of RON 4.1383/EUR, after an appreciation of almost 3 bani (0.71 per cent) of the RON, determined by the favourable feeling of the investors towards the whole region, on a market with reduced trading volumes. The latter did not reach such a low level since May 8, 2009, when BNR announced a rate of RON 4.1380/EUR. BNR posted on Friday a reference rate of RON 4.1679/EUR. For the dollar, the reference rate posted on Monday by BNR is RON 2.8489/USD, down almost 7 bani (2.24 per cent) against that of Friday, of RON 2.9143/USD.
